We are living in an extraordinary time when there is much chaos in the world and many demands on our time as well as personal pressures. It is difficult to slow down\, seek balance\, and abide in silence. But there are many ways to practice “the art of pausing.” This mini-retreat explores concrete and simple practices we can adopt to bring greater balance into our lives. We will also take time to reflect on and write down sacred and transcendent moments we have experienced and share how they bring a sense of wonder. Make room for the Holy Spirit!\nPreparing the Body\nPrior to the pilgrimage\, consider adding walks to your weekly routine.\nThis would be a great family activity!\nWhat To Bring\n● A backpack\n● Layered clothing and a hat – the Walk will take place rain or shine\n● Whatever food and water you will require – consider bringing a brown bag lunch and staying to\nsocialize after the Walk\n● Rosary\n● Comfortable walking shoes\nOur route for 2024 will be the same as the last two years\, beginning and ending at the Cathedral\nof St. Thomas Aquinas in downtown Reno. The full route is along the Truckee River to Ivan Sack\nPark which is about a 4.6 mile loop. A shorter route is to turn around at Idlewild Park which is\nabout a 2 mile loop.
