Get Ready for 6th Grade Math! (students who have completed 5th grade math with Ms. Crowley or Mr. Rippingham)

 

6th Grade Math Camp Details

When:  Monday, August 5th through Thursday, August 8th

Where:  Our Lady of the Snows School

Cost: $250

         **Includes summer workbook to review and master 5th grade math concepts. Parents, an answer key is also provided!

 

Daily Schedule:  

9:00-10:00  Review/mastery of critical 5th grade concepts (partner work, review games, problem solving challenges)

10:00-10:15  Chaperoned recess

10:15-11:00  Introduction to 6th Grade Math/Introduction to Pre-Algebra for students who are ready to advance

11:00-11:45  STEM Project/Problem Solving Activity

★Middle School Math Camp with Mrs. Cafazza★

 Deadline to register is Friday, May 17th

 Courses: 

• Get Ready for 7th Grade Math! (students who have completed 6th grade math)

• Get Ready for 8th Grade Math! (students who have completed Pre-Algebra with Ms. Buzick)

• Get Ready for Geometry! (students who have completed Algebra I with Mrs. Cafazza)

 

Choose from three options:

 

Option 1: Online Math Camp $375

                Flexible for busy summer schedules

• 3 Mrs. Cafazza-guided video modules released each week for 6 weeks

• Students follow along with video modules in a specially designed workbook

• Videos pause so that students can submit answers to check for understanding

• Students receive a score at the end of each video

• Each video lesson includes IXL suggestions for extra practice

• Weekly progress reports are emailed to parents and students

• Enables students to work on math skills throughout the summer

• Online Math Camp begins Sunday, June 9th

 

Option 2: In-Person Math Camp  $275 

• Monday, July 29th through Friday, August 2nd from 9:00am-12:00pm

• Engage in math activities, games, STEM challenges, problem solving, math escape rooms, and Geometry explorations

 

Option 3: Online Math Camp PLUS In-Person Math Camp  $475 

• Includes all 6 weeks of the online math camp PLUS the in-person math camp

• On average, students who complete this summer course improve their MAP RIT score by 5 points
