Grades kindergarten through eight follow the Finding God catechism series published by Loyola Press. This formal religious instruction curriculum meets all of the religious education standards of our Diocese.
Beyond the textbook, students are immersed in a rich, faith filled school environment through our weekly participation in Mass and daily prayer. Each day begins with prayer and students learn a variety of styles of prayer from our Catholic tradition. Additionally, as a community we study the lives of the saints, each day, seeking inspiration and life lessons to help us all make Snows a place of learning, compassion and strong Catholic identity.
As a school community we participate in a number of events throughout the year to foster our understanding of our faith. We celebrate the liturgical seasons and participate in the sacraments on a regular basis. We sponsor retreats for our staff, students and parents throughout the year. We also pay special attention to our patron saint, Our Lady of the Snows, with an annual celebration of her feast day and a May Crowning each spring.
On-going faith formation is a focus of our religion program, not just for our students but also for staff and families. Please be sure to look at our weekly school newsletter for upcoming faith formation opportunities.
